1. Introduction
JUST BUILDT LLC ("JustBuildt," "we," "us," or "our"), a New Jersey limited liability company, operates justbuildt.com and the JustBuildt website-building and hosting service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers two groups of people:
- Customers: businesses and individuals who create an account and use JustBuildt to build websites.
- Site visitors: people who visit justbuildt.com or a website we host for one of our customers.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Important: The Service is intended for businesses and users located in the United States.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile picture from Google Sign-In.
- Business information: your business name, address, phone number, hours, services, service areas, logo, photos, and other details you enter.
- Editing instructions: the plain-English requests you type to change your website.
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support emails.
2.2 Information from Google
With your permission, we access information from your Google account and Google Business Profile, including:
- Your name, email address, and profile picture (Google Sign-In)
- Your Business Profile's name, address, phone number, hours, categories, photos, and reviews
- For customers on plans that include Business Profile management: the ability to create posts, upload photos, update business details and products, and reply to reviews on your behalf
2.3 Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we receive only limited information, such as your billing name, the last four digits of your card, its expiration date, and your billing history. Stripe's use of your information is governed by its privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
2.4 Information collected automatically
When anyone visits justbuildt.com or a website we host, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, referring website, time spent, and approximate location (city or region)
- Clicks on tap-to-call buttons and similar actions
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8)
2.5 Information submitted by site visitors
If a visitor fills out a contact or lead form on a customer's website, we collect the information they submit (such as name, phone number, email, and message) and deliver it to that customer.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, publish, host, and maintain customer websites
- Generate and edit website content and blog posts using AI tools
- Provide analytics, performance reports, and lead notifications to customers
- Manage Google Business Profiles for customers who choose that feature
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Provide customer support and send service messages, such as receipts and account notices
- Send occasional product updates and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Improve and develop the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
4. AI Processing
To build and edit websites, we send business information, photos, and your editing instructions to third-party AI providers through their business APIs, only when you use features that need them. These providers process the data under their API terms to return results to us. We do not use your content or your visitors' information to train our own AI models. Please do not include sensitive personal information, such as health, financial account, or government ID information, in editing instructions.
5. Google API Services: Limited Use Disclosure
JustBuildt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, data we receive from Google:
- Is used only to provide and improve user-facing features of the Service, such as signing you in, building your website from your Business Profile, and managing your Business Profile when you request it
- Is not sold
- Is not used for advertising, including targeted, personalized, or interest-based ads
- Is not transferred to others except as needed to provide the Service, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you
- Is not read by humans except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or when aggregated and anonymized for internal operations
- Is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models
You can revoke JustBuildt's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. They access only the data needed for their specific function and are required to protect it and use it only for authorized purposes:
- Google: Google Sign-In and Google Business Profile access.
- Stripe: payment processing, subscriptions, and billing.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers: hosting justbuildt.com and customer websites, and storing account, website, and lead data.
- AI providers: generating and editing website content and blog posts.
- Email delivery providers: sending account emails, receipts, and lead notifications.
- Analytics providers: measuring traffic and usage on justbuildt.com and customer websites. On justbuildt.com, Contentsquare records sessions (clicks, scrolls, and page visits) so we can review heatmaps and how the product is used. Password fields are hidden. Customer websites we host are not recorded this way.
- Twilio: providing the phone number on a published site and forwarding those calls to the business. We store the caller's number. We do not record the call.
- Domain registrars: registering custom domains for customers.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only:
- With service providers, as described in Section 6
- With customers: visitor form submissions, plus visit and call analytics, are shared with the business that owns the website
- With Google, when we manage your Business Profile on your behalf
- For legal reasons: to comply with laws, court orders, or government requests
- To protect rights: to protect the rights, property, or safety of JustBuildt, our users, or others
- In business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. You will be notified before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent or at your direction
- As aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify any individual or business
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure traffic on justbuildt.com and hosted websites. On justbuildt.com we also use session recording to see how people use the product. We do not use advertising trackers or sell tracking data. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.
9. Customer Websites and Visitor Data
For websites we host for our customers, each customer is responsible for its own business and for how it uses the information its visitors submit. We process visitor information on the customer's behalf to host the site, deliver form submissions, and provide analytics. If you visited a customer's website and have questions about how that business uses your information, please contact that business directly. We will help our customers respond to requests where required by law.
10. Data Retention
We keep customer account and website information for as long as your account is active. After you cancel or delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within 90 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes. Visitor form submissions and analytics data are kept while the customer's account is active, unless deleted sooner.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud storage, and access limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
12. Your Privacy Rights
12.1 General rights
You may request:
- Access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- A copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- To stop receiving marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email; we will still send service messages)
You can also revoke Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions and manage cookies in your browser. To exercise these rights, email info@justbuildt.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
12.2 California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
12.3 Other state privacy rights
Residents of New Jersey and other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
12.4 Users outside the United States
The Service is intended only for users located in the United States. We do not offer the Service to individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions with separate privacy requirements.
13. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Location of Data
We primarily store Service data in the United States. Some service providers, such as AI providers, may process content under their own terms and infrastructure, which may include processing outside the United States.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify customers of material changes by email or in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
